Skills Support for Redundancy

Skills Support for Redundancy (SSR) is a funded initiative designed to support employers and individuals affected by redundancy. SSR is a tailored service to meet your needs, offering a wide range of training support. A dedicated Partnership Coordinator will work with you to identify the best sources of support and training available.

Working with employers, the SSR programme will ensure that employees get access to bespoke training and careers guidance, to support them to find suitable employment.

For individuals facing redundancy, or those who have recently been made redundant, the programme provides access to funded skills training, retraining and careers guidance to support their return to the workforce.

This programme can help you to bridge any skills gaps, or may be an opportunity for you to gain a qualification to support the experience you may already have from working in industry, or training may even support a career change.

There is a wide range of courses on offer including IT skills and business administration, education, leadership and management, health and social care, warehousing and storage, and retail. The training is carried out by accredited high-quality training providers who have a wealth of knowledge and experience.

Co-financed by the Education & Skills Funding Agency and European Social Fund, the support can be accessed at no cost to the business or individual.

Please contact Kirsty Mottram, Partnership Coordinator, for more information.
