Exeter Works doors will be closing on 31 March, but you will still be able to get support and guidance on our website. The Youth Hub will open the doors to its new home in Exeter Library from 3 April.

Remade is a new project funded by the European Social fund for those who are registered unemployed or economically inactive and looking to move into employment, self-employment or education.

It is a combination of practical learning, working on upcycling, recycling and reuse projects as well as other group sessions, access to short courses, one to one activities and support with working towards individual work or training related goals.

As well as the practical skills gained in the weekly workshop, attendance will provide the more general qualities that employers seek, such as good time-keeping, team working, safe working practises etc. so the course is not specific to a particular type of work.

For those interested in self-employment, support will be given in how to get started: develop a business plan; research products/markets; promote your work and start selling, if that is appropriate.

In addition to the above, the participants will have the opportunity to connect with others, improve their wellbeing, build confidence and communication skills, have access to individual advice and information.
