Exeter Works doors will be closing on 31 March, but you will still be able to get support and guidance on our website. The Youth Hub will open the doors to its new home in Exeter Library from 3 April.

Exeter College is offering adult learners (19+) the chance to retrain in digital – for free – and be at the forefront of the digital revolution by gaining skills and knowledge in three key digital industries.

For businesses, these free, 12-week, part-time courses represent a unique opportunity to retrain existing employees for a reshaped role within their organisation, helping to future-proof places of work and developing business practices fit for the new ways of operating.

Three pathways are available for learners, aligning with some of the most sought-after skills currently requested by businesses: Business Data AnalyticsDigital Marketing and Software Development. Courses will focus on practical skills development for direct application to industry. Each course offers learners the opportunity to develop a practical portfolio in their area, highlighting the new skills and knowledge to encourage promotion in their current role or to potential new roles now available to them.

Find out more details on each of the digital pathways, including how learners can apply directly on the Exeter College Digital Skills page.

At present, courses are planned to be delivered with a blend of online and on-site teaching in our state-of-the-art Future Skills Centre. Learners will be expected to attend sessions (virtually or in person) one day a week for 12 weeks. These fully-funded courses will be launching in January 2021.

If a business is interested in getting involved in the scheme, either to support recruitment for existing vacancies or wanting employees to get involved, please contact Andrea Hodges on or 01392 400400 for an informal discussion.
