Exeter Works doors will be closing on 31 March, but you will still be able to get support and guidance on our website. The Youth Hub will open the doors to its new home in Exeter Library from 3 April.

What is it?

Citizens Advice Exeter have been providing Advice For Life sessions in Businesses and Communities for the past few years. These sessions cover advice on such subjects as Budgeting, Dealing with Debt, Credit, where to get trusted help, Prioritising Debt and many other areas. The main goal of these sessions is to give people advice before they get into difficulties and need to seek help.

Why are we doing it?

Our research shows us that when people do get into difficulties they often struggle for weeks, months and sometimes years before they seek help. Sometimes the delay is just because they don’t know where to go for trusted help. As well as the problem getting worse by this delay, the person often suffers with stress, mental health issues or possible relationship breakdowns. We also know this is is cause of a substantial amount of absence from work.

What’s new ?

During last year we ran several online sessions, as we were unable to hold them face to face, and we received very positive feedback. We made a small charge to cover our costs but now, as we know so many businesses and communities are struggling financially, we want to provide FREE sessions where requested.

Will it fit my organisation?

Before we run a session we will work with someone in your organisation to tailor the content to what specific areas, within our scope, you require. Also we normally run these sessions alongside existing non core training e.g. Health and Safety, Well Being etc.
