Exeter Works doors will be closing on 31 March, but you will still be able to get support and guidance on our website. The Youth Hub will open the doors to its new home in Exeter Library from 3 April.
The logistics sector is growing in and around Exeter, with a number of new operations recently opening, including Amazon and Lidl. There are also a number of well established businesses locally, such as; DPD, FedEx and many more. The job roles in these businesses vary, and can be based in warehouses and depots, or out and about delivering parcels and goods. The rise in online shopping has seen a rise in demand for workers in these types of businesses.
In the transport part of the sector, notable local businesses include; Gregory Distribution, Evans Transport, Heaver Brothers and CC Haulage. These businesses will have job roles not just as HGV drivers, but also in planning and logistics, warehousing and maintenance.
