InExeter is the business improvement district (BID) for Exeter city centre. The area is made up of over 750 businesses, varying in sector, with the majority being retail and hospitality. The Exeter BID was set up in 2015 and entered into its second five-year term in 2020. The BID is voted in with a five-year business plan to deliver projects, events and schemes to promote and support businesses and to ensure that Exeter thrives with a vibrant high street. InExeter offers services to their members that are above what the city council offers, such as the additional cleansing, planting and marketing campaigns. The InExeter team works hard to support all businesses, providing business engagement and projects to drive footfall. InExeter is also an acting gatekeeper of data for the city, such as footfall and carparking, which members can tap into.
